I bought these two things (one of which is not jewelry) at a boutique called "South Moon Under"

A golden octopus charm. I still need to find a golden chain, but at the same time, I kind of like the silver and gold together.

Hair ties- the salesperson at the boutique told me these don't leave creases in your hair, and they really don't.

If you want to skip the sight-seeing and stereotypically touristy things to do in NYC, I suggest doing some major shopping. One place I would highly recommend for jewelry is the jewelery/earring district located at around 31st-32nd and Broadway. There's basically rows and rows of stores selling really inexpensive jewelery.

While one would expect that with all of this selection I would be buying loads of things, I am (fortunately?) very picky about jewelery. Also, I had to make sure everything fit in my suitcase (sadly). Here's my two favorite pieces I got from shopping in the Jewelry District:

After being quite exhausted from my travels, I decided to sleep in today. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, but fortunately, it was for a very exciting reason- my doorbell rang because the book "Cupcakes and Cashmere: a guide for defining your style, reinventing your space, and entertaining with ease" had finally arrived!

I've only skimmed through it and it seems to be an essential guide to life basically (maybe a little dramatic). And it's pretty rainy and dreary today, so what better way to spend a day indoors than with tea and this awesome book.

Also, the author commented on my Facebook post, which only made my morning even better!

On my trip, my cousin and I went walking around Boston and one of stores I had to visit was a place called "Paper Source". There is one location relatively close to where I live, so I plan on making this one of my regular obsessions. This visit was my first experience, and I immediately fell in love.
